This project was based on ‘the constructed image’ which is a research project. I have lived at the same address all of my life. My parents moved into our three bedroom semi detached house two weeks after I was born. Although I have lived in the same village my hole life I hardly know the area. Mottingham use to be a lovely little village where most of the residence that were in there 60’s. But now it seems to have been taken over by council estates. Mottingham now has a terrible reputation for drug dealing, violence and racist couples. Due to this I have never really spent time in my own town I can always remember driving to other places to go out for the day as a child or getting the train into London. I want to explore my Village and find the things that I have missed all of my life.
When researching Mottingham hardly any information really presents itself. The only thing that appeared was article after article of bad press involving Mottingham.After reading through so many of the articals about Mottingham and the murders, violance and crime which had taken place. I chose the articles that I found the most interesting and went to the site where it had taken place or to places which were mentioned within the text and shot the images. I involved the articles within the text to show the devistating incodents that had been witenessed here.
