A Childhood left behind

'A childhood left behind’, stemmed from the way we recall our childhood memories; how some things from the past are easily remembered with sharp clear images coming to mind, yet others are vague, hazy and often warped by our imagination, making it difficult to know what is an actual memory and what is an image our minds have created. Rebecca Hallett’s aim is to try and portray what she sees inside her head each time she closes her eyes and drifts back to her childhood. Hallett used two mediums of camera to experiment with how she could bring these memories into reality: Large format for the memories that were so strong and clear inside her head and pinhole for the more cloudy memories of her childhood.
